This megathread is for those who are undecided about who to play, have questions about certain classes before choosing to HyperBurn, or have questions about HyperBurn in general.

Help us help you

Don't just ask "I want high damage, high mobility, low cd, low funding, easy to play, good mobber, looks sexy class". Don't be overly lengthy when asking your questions, be somewhat detailed, and bring it down to a couple choices you are interested in. Being too vague also won't help with getting an answer.

• If you have trouble with a link on PC, try joining the discord using your mobile device (or vice versa). Sometimes discord links bug out.

Some NEW changes this time around.

* There is a Hyperburn Max (1-260), and there is also a separate Hyperburn Beyond (260-270). Further explanations down below.

* All class intro quests are skippable. Yes, that means the crazy long Illium quest or annoying Explorer quest is instantly skippable. The game will just plop you into the game at level 30.

* It is HIGHLY recommended if you are a returning or brand new player with low account progression to start your journey again in the Challenger World. Just make sure you pick the correct Challenger world. Challenger World HEROIC (Kronos/Hyperion) or Challenger World INTERACTIVE (Bera/Scania). These two servers are complete separate experiences and you cannot transfer your Challenger World character from Heroic to Interactive.

What is Hyperburn MAX?

* You apply Hyperburn during character select to a single character during the event and that character will gain 5 levels instead of 1 every time you level until level 260! Get free rewards and symbols at certain level milestones as you play.

* If you Hyperburn a character in Challengers world, that character will gain boosted rewards compared to Hyperburning it in your home server. For example at level 200 you will get a level 7 Arcane Symbol with 100 Nodestones at your home server. In Challengers World you will get a level 10 Arcane Symbol, 200 Nodestones, a Trait Boost Potion, and a Boss Accessory Box.

Get to level 200 in 30 minutes with Tera Blink!

* A character that is Hyperburn gets access to Tera Blink! It is a special Tutorial map that gives you a brief tutorial on in-game systems (how potions work, how your skills work, etc) while giving you a lot of experience along the way.

* The average time it takes for someone to get to 200 using Tera Blink is around 30 minutes. For those that know what to do already it can be as fast as 15 minutes!

Get 2 levels every time at level 260-270!

* After Hyberburn is over and your character is 260, you can apply Hyperburn Beyond. It works similar to HB Max, but only gives you 2 levels instead of 5 on every level up until level 270.

* There is no boosted reward bonus for using Hyperburn Beyond on Challengers World versus your home world. Both worlds have the same rewards.

* Hyperburn Max and Hyperburn Beyond characters can be applied on different characters.

Boost Your Damage with Item Burning!

• At level 200 after finishing the 5th job quest, you can assign a character to wear the Challengers equipment. This is temporary equipment grows in strength as you complete level milestones and boss missions. The expected length of the equipment duration is around 6 months.
• The Item Burning set is Hat, Top, Pants, Gloves, Shoes, Cape, Shoulder, Weapon.
• There are 6 Missions of varying difficulty and level milestones. Stage 3 for example is get level 220 and solo Chaos Papulatus. This grants the reward of all your Item Burning Equipment becoming 17 stars.
• There will be a GMS Specific way to replace certain Item Burning pieces to retain your strength without breaking set effects. Keep an eye out for the patch notes.

I planning to main kinesis, but the HB of kinesis remaster is start in latter half of cw3, what i should do in the beginning of cw3 to take all the advantage of this cw3 ? i also aim to emerald rank

I'm from Vietnam, but when I created account in 2021s, I chose UK with USA ...

Last year(5/2025 ), I submited ticket to NX to change country account to somewhere use USD currency.

But they didn't accept it, it made a problem for me when I buy mvp svc or fund NX with high fee.

Someone got this problem and solve it ?

This class is so cool to play, thought i’d just make a boss mule and play lynn on cw3 but now i regrets.
Probably keeping this as a ctene mule at some point and making mx again in cw3 as legion champ.
Anyone else any hb regrets?

​With Challenger World Season 3 coming up and the hype building around the new Time Wanderer Kai boss, I’ve decided to use the Hyper Burning MAX and the CW passive buffs to build a brand new main.

I’ve narrowed it down to Demon Slayer and Zero, but I’m completely stuck and could use some advice from people who main either of them.

Does anyone know how to get a summer/winter pass? I cant find it in the cash shop if its supposed to be there.

Hello friends! Decided to start playing again and I am a little overwhelmed with everything.

Haven’t played in over 10 years and starting again on a new account in Kronos.

So far I made a new Ren with hyper burning and made it to 200 before 5th job. I’m thinking of maining Ren for now.

Any tips/tricks will be appreciated.

and all I wanted was some drop fams.

It was just a coincidence that I reset the AP of my Xenon. But I found that after resetting the scroll with the AP, the available AP for me was an odd number. This made me very curious. Then I tried the other characters as well, including old and new ones, and I discovered that all of them would have an odd number. I'm a curious child. This really confused me. Isn't it the case that each time you level up, you get 5 points of AP? Why would the available AP after resetting be an an odd number rather than a multiple of 5.?

I won't feel good if I don't figure out this problem. Can someone help me? Ha ha XD

hey, im plannin to build a 2nd main during the upcoming events.

im a bit confused about when to build the 2nd main and I would appreciate your advice.

1. now, during that HB event with the Goddess Blessing
2. in 17th June, on CW3.

i want the 2nd main to be a Ren class, so ill be happy also for an advice to another boss mule for the other HB (got already DW as main and AB, WH, WA ass nlomien boss mules.

i like easy play classes (just as my DW), bad hands haha

also, low funding will be the best for the boss mule

We have started working on a new BasilMarket-style website for the MapleStory Classic community:

Right now, the main features being worked on are account login, buy/sell listings, and auctions. The goal is to keep the classic marketplace feeling people remember, but give it a cleaner and more modern layout.

The current item and monster data is based on old MapleStory data for now, not the new MapleStory Classic data yet. That will be updated soon once better Classic data becomes available.

We are also planning Discord integration later on, including scammer reporting through the #scammers channel and eventually buyer/seller ratings. The goal is to make trading easier, safer, and more community-driven.
