Lightning or Maverick?

I’m trying to decide between a Ford Maverick and a Ford F-150 Lightning and looking for some real-world advice.

A little about my situation: I live in a condo so home charging is a problem. My HOA president said chargers have been allowed before, but the building management company said no. Their reasoning is basically that if it becomes a trend it could strain the grid. That said, I’m lucky enough to live right next to a standard EV charging station and a couple Tesla Superchargers, so public charging is at least accessible.

Why I’m going back and forth: I want to future proof myself. I’m planning to get into property renovation down the road, so a Lightning makes sense for that. But the Maverick is no slouch either and would honestly handle my day to day just fine.

The sticking points: The Lightning has been discontinued, which is in the back of my mind. On the charging side, I drive maybe 200 miles a week total. One commute, golf twice a week, all within about 40 miles. So I’d probably be hitting a public charger once a week.

I’m having an electrician come look at what’s possible for home charging so I can make a stronger case to building management. But realistically the Maverick might just be the practical move for now until I buy a house or get into a situation where I control the charging setup myself.

Anyone out there with a Lightning managing on public charging only? Would love to hear how it actually goes day to day.
