I've worked on food shows, I've edited food shows. This is nothing. Guy eats, maybe not everything on the show and I'll tell you why.

Often shows like this are block shot. Meaning Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives would go to a city, book 3 or 4 restaurants and shoot all of them, sometimes in the same day. How many meals do you expect this slim legend to eat!? He would seriously be bigger than Ethan thinks he is if he ate all that fried food.

Also, the pace of the editing on this show, where you don't sit on a shot for more than a second or two, you're never going to see a swallow. I've never gotten a note to stay on a shot until the host swallows.

And they often use coverage from a second unit, shot on a different day or even in a test kitchen.

It's like no one knows what editing is. Hyper-fixations can be fun but I've watched the main show and the pre-show go over this non-trovercy now.

This is nothing, Guy chews and swallows. I guarantee you.
