Kevin Bieska - Assistant Coach
For tonight’s Montreal game Kevin spoke of Georges St Pierre being a wrestler and a striker, and how the Habs need instead to be more like Floyd. Counter punchers.
Another time he quoted Georges talking about how exchanging punches was a coin flip. This was when Kevin was playing. And the next season Kevin lost a coin flip with Tom Kostopoulous.
The point here is that he’s cerebral. He speaks well. He was a low-numbered defender, akin to Doug Halward. He analyzes the game so well that most ardent Canuck-haters like him on TV. The incoming future superstars having been watching him on TV for years. He’s got the TV cred, the fighters cred, the long-suffering Canuck cred.
With the twins back and RJ here too, we need the full band back together.
Whether it’s assistant coach or whatever, we have a spot for Kevin.
