For men 35-45, how do you think/act with a girl you like?

I (27F) have started chatting with a man who is late 30s/early 40s. Most of my previous boyfriends or flings have been max about 4-5 years older than me, so I’m curious about how he may think and act? I know a lot of people say “guys get nervous when talking to a girl they like” but I see that usually in reference to guys in their teens, 20s, and maybe early 30s. The one I have been talking to seems to be interested in me, but doesn’t really act in the “typical” way younger guys do.

He isn’t overboard with texting. Sometimes a few days without a text and then it’s nothing corny (just my opinion) like “good morning”. His texts always seem to have specific intention, not really any small talk. He seems very confident in person and can hold solid eye contact, doesn’t fidget, stutter, or anything. He’s really calm, which I appreciate, I think maybe I’m just used to “love bombing” or stuff like that.

This is new for me and I really like him, so I don’t want to misread anything as disinterest if it’s just simply him being older and treating this differently than guys my age would. Would love to hear your opinions. Thanks!!!
