My P. Muelerri’s pupa chamber collapsed, this is my first beetle. He is in the middle of becoming a pupa. I attempted to recreate a chamber for him, is this ok? Should I instead make a chamber from floral foam? Is this the proper orientation he should be placed. He is alive, I’ve seen him move I just want to make sure he is healthy. Any help is greatly appreciated
I am a first time larvae owner and I’ve been raising my P Muelleri since November 2025. Recently he keeps digging himself to the top of his container and I’m at a loss for what to do. He tends to dig visible tunnels and then he’ll randomly push himself to the top. I’ve read that it is usually a soil issue however the advice I’ve gotten is very vague. Maybe my container is too small? I’m using flake soil from Jame’s Beetle Farm. I checked on him the other day and it could be my mind playing tricks on me but he seems to be slightly smaller. I’m really worried since he’s my first larvae.
