1st time owning a Travel Trailer!
Previously owned a little pop up, so we have upgraded to a 2015 Jayco Jay Flight 23rb. Just got it all dewinterized and ready for some fun but I hade a few questions that I was hoping some of you maybe able to assist me with.
Any owners of this make & model of rig out there? What are some things I need to watch out for or keep an eye on in my adventures?
Truck seems to do really well with the trailer so far, but I keep being told about the weight distribution hitch’s and I’m not sure if I need that so was curious on some other opinions from all you reddit folks.
After the last few weeks of working on it from time to time I have noticed that the battery tends to drain quite a bit while it’s just sitting there. I turn all the breakers off when I leave it but seems like the battery is still draining. It does not have a battery disconnect that I can find. Would installing that rectify this issue?
Wife wants me to add a storage rack to the rear, in your experience is this recommended? I feel like it could possibly damage the rear bumper if we add more to it.
And yes I plan to take it to an empty parking lot to practice with the turning angels for backing into camp spots. Compared to my pop up this thing is hilarious to park the amount of re-attempts is comical.
