I’ve noticed a common theme in this recent qualifier or in Ascension tournaments gone by, quite a few of the top Tier 2 teams in Brazil often have had players that have already played in Tier 1, have been around for a while, but had failed to show anything special, I’m talking about these teams or the LØSes and Team Solid’s or Hero Bases of the world ykwim.

Whats the reason for this? There’s clearly some great rookie talent since we’ve seen Sato, blowz, spike, Cortezia, artzin, basic, luk xo, all come up from Tier 2 in the past year or two, yet it’s more common that during ascension, the teams that make it further are the teams with the old guard…feels odd to me.
