Mulching Issue 800 Series vs 1000 Series
Trying to get some info before switching from my 800 series to a 1000 series mower. I am trying to solve/get rid of my clumping issue when mulching. Currently cut at 4", only when the grass is dry, with a sharp high lift blade, usually twice a week in crossing patterns.
Just watched a video made by "Tech Made Easy" on You Tube that goes into great detail comparing the LM2244SP to the Honda HRX-BE. He did a mulching comparison test that was very interesting and matches what I am currently seeing which reinforces my belief that it just isn't me. On the EGO he kept the blade speed at Normal and used the mulching blades.
Clumping was horrible, basically the same as my LM2156SP. So much clumping near the rear wheels. And this guy is an Ego fan.
Honda was much better according to him as far as clumping was concerned.
Can you tell me if increasing the blade speed to Turbo, and using the high lift blades would have made a big difference before I make a purchase?
