Today as I was walking to my place from the market, loaded down with bags in the pouring rain, I jump off the curb to avoid a puddle and my phone must have bounced out of my pocket. I didn’t realize it and about ten minutes later I went looking for my phone. Freaked, grabbed my Apple Watch and started pinging my phone and saw it was a block away. I grabbed my partner’s phone and called my phone. It was picked up and despite my limited Spanish and his limited English we were able to find each other. He was a delivery e-bike driver and honked when he saw me. What a great person to wait and spend his work time helping me. It really was a wonderful reminder that there are kind people in the world.
