Crazy issue with ESB chargers Mayfield today 16th Aug

Second time in the last couple of weeks that I have stopped here to charge my vehicle. Spaces available both times, only for the charger not working and having to swap to another and hope for the best. First space I went to was available according to the ESB app but wouldn't connect, swapped to another, but myself and the car next to me had issues, credit card, esb card not recognised. Then it worked for a second, app would show charging and then stop. Finally got a spot just vacated by someone who has successfully charged their car and thankfully started to charge with my credit card.

Only wanted a splash and dash, quick coffee, nothing showing on esb app but car app showed percentage, so headed out. Car would not stop charging, machine said use esb app to stop, but not showing charging on app so couldn't stop. Car would not allow me to stop. Looked around and I wasn't the only person, cars would not stop charging, couple of us trying to get through to esb support, we couldn't get anyone.

Eventually my machine announced wrong credit card for charging and allowed me to "stop session" on the credit card touch screen and it stopped and I could unplug. No charge history yet, but the car took way more than I intended, it got about 15kw's more than I needed.

As I left, I saw people scratching heads and getting worried.

There is hope

Work up to two emails from steam, one saying I was now on the reservation list, next email followed pretty much straight after, saying I could go ahead with my purchase of the 512GB machine with controller.

So, if like me you were on the waiting list and thinking that you'd be waiting for a while or going for a frame, don't lose hope.

Hopefully it means that production is matching demand.

Did I hear a crisp packet being opened?

Wee Man emerges from his fortress of solitude, after hearing what he believes to be a crisp packet being opened, without him being present.

First ever accident and it had to be my 4 month old Inster

Numerous ICE cars and it was my first ever EV. Only had it 4 months and just over 2,800kms on it.

The grey piece of metal sticking out of my door is the other car's front wing panel. Unfortunately for him he slid across into me on a bad bend after a rain shower.

Braking/body, ECS, Tyre monitor and Driver Assist faults on the app. Away for appraisal as to what repairs it needs.

Luckily, while the other car's panel went through my door, it didn't make contact with me. They're a tough little car, other cars front right wheel an alloy sheared completely through the middle with the impact.

Airbags on both cars didn't go off as it was a side impact. Will wait to see what the garage says, but I imagine it will be a couple of weeks before I get it back.
