A DSA endorsed candidate in CA District 7!
We have a candidate Mai Vang, who is running against a 20 year incumbent for CA-7 here in Sacramento. Doris has held the seat for 2 decades, and her husband held the seat for decades prior. Essentially, the same family has held the seat as establishment Dems for nearly 50 years!
Mai Vang is Doris Matsui's first real threat to her seat since she took it over in 2005. Mai is running on a great progressive platform, so much so that she earned Sacramento DSA's endorsement.We have a real shot of getting Mai a victory in November, since she'll likely get 2nd in the primaries. So Sacramento DSA has been canvassing for her almost daily.
I have no idea if Hasan is interested in campaigning with Mai, or how I can forward this information to him (I don't want to spam the chat). I just wanted to post this here to promote Mai and campaign as much as possible with the primaries coming up on June 2nd. If you're in the Sacramento area, please get the word out to whoever you can!
