schulich BBA questions

Hi guys! I've been accepted into Schulich BBA for this upcoming school year! I was originally planning to go to Waterloo AFM but was deferred to SFM, so I'm now seriously considering Schulich.

I have a few questions that would really help clear up any confusion if answered!

How do internships work every year? I really value coop, and since Schulich doesn't have it set, how do students work every year to build a resume? Does the uni provide any support, or is it up to the individual?

I want to pursue corporate finance, with a focus on M&A analysis, valuations, and deal advisory/consulting. How does the specialization at Schulich work out for that?

What do the extracurriculars look like? case comps, team building clubs?

And lastly, I wanna pursue law later down the line, so is maintaining a high GPA difficult? for referecne i have a 95.5 in high school--not that it compares to uni lol.

I wanted to ask here since personal experience is way more accurate than online! Please let me know!!!

is SFM worth it?

title. Hey guys, I recently got deferred to SFM from AFM despite having a competitive average (95.5). I was really set on AFM, and am honestly super disappointed about the fact.

But I want to think positively and figure out if SFM is worth it? I want to establish a career in coorporate finance/m&a analyst. I also wanna pursue law in the future, but I need a strong backup plan in case it doesn't work out.

On paper, I know AFM would be better suited for this, but do you think I'd be able to achieve the same outcome with SFM?

I've gotten into Schulich and Laurier, but neither of them has guaranteed coop like Waterloo. also its waterloo coop lol.

If some current students could tell me what the reality of the program is, that'd be great! (specialization in later years, coop, extracurriculars, course load).

thanks so much

all the people that have gotten in so far on the spreadsheet are shooting well above 96+. based on this, do you think they will make cutoff higher? Especially with no AIF I’m very stressed I’m not competitive enough with a 92.5. Next week will be depression
