Schulich Conditional

I’ve been seeing some people receive an email saying that the conditional requirement is now 90%. Does this apply to everyone who got into Schulich? If I didn’t receive the email, does that mean my conditional is still 88%? I checked my York email too btw nothing there.

Did I make the wrong choice

I just accepted Shulich, which is a program I am def happy with. However, many people especially on Reddit and people I know irl have been telling me how much better Laurier is with its coop and just people who end up doing finance in general. I am prioritizing my future after all but I am also sad that I won’t have the traditional uni life like many of my friends going to WLU or UW. The worst thing is that I am worried I won’t make the most out of my resources at Shulich. I don’t know if I am going to regret my choice but only time will tell ig.

Schulich Conditional

Everyone on this subreddit is saying the conditional is 90% but I got an email a while back saying its 88%. Is it actually 90% now? I didn’t get any emails.

Is there really no social life at schulich??

having a good social life is something i really want out of university but im getting pretty scared. half the people on reddit are talking about how you make absolutely no friends at schulich and will have no social life. people i know in real life have said they were able to make a big friend group at schulich but is this not a reality for the majority? i understand the social life at schulich would not be as good as a school with res but is it really that bad??

Anything to prepare before starting first year?

Hi guys. I was just wondering if there's anything I should prepare in advance before starting my first year at Schulich. I'm quite worried I won't be able to catch up to the lessons.

Are there any topics I should familiarize myself with like calculus, statistics, accounting and so on? Or should I build some computer skills or any other skills? I heard that business courses in some universities require a certain amount of knowledge in coding.

Also, are there any useful resources that could be helpful throughout the year? Any websites, articles, youtube channels, tools or just anything that can help?

I would really appreciate your help!

Am I an idiot for forgetting to pay this 150 dollar application fee?

I didn’t get any prompt for it after my subapp now I’ve only just recently seen this 150 dollar fee. Did I just fuck up my entire application process?

1st year course enrollment

hey guys
i’m a first year student. my enrollment appointment was may 13, and i enrolled in all my mandatory courses.
in the email with our schedule it is said that the deadline to enroll in the courses is 5 days after the appointment.
so i was wondering if it’s only for mandatory courses or if it also applies to the electives? is the deadline to enroll in my electives 5 days after the appointment too?

No Decision

Hey yall do you know if decisions are still being given out or not? I have a 91.3% and did alright on my ec / interview. I still have "No decision" on myfile so no rejection or acceptance or waitlist yet. Not sure what to expect tbh, I emailed them on like friday and they said they're still rolling out, but a lot of people here are saying it's done. Any news? thanks.

schulich BBA questions

Hi guys! I've been accepted into Schulich BBA for this upcoming school year! I was originally planning to go to Waterloo AFM but was deferred to SFM, so I'm now seriously considering Schulich.

I have a few questions that would really help clear up any confusion if answered!

How do internships work every year? I really value coop, and since Schulich doesn't have it set, how do students work every year to build a resume? Does the uni provide any support, or is it up to the individual?

I want to pursue corporate finance, with a focus on M&A analysis, valuations, and deal advisory/consulting. How does the specialization at Schulich work out for that?

What do the extracurriculars look like? case comps, team building clubs?

And lastly, I wanna pursue law later down the line, so is maintaining a high GPA difficult? for referecne i have a 95.5 in high school--not that it compares to uni lol.

I wanted to ask here since personal experience is way more accurate than online! Please let me know!!!

Schulich

If you have not gotten an offer from Schulich BBA as of right now, should I expect a rejection or a waitlist? I doubt they will send more offers at this point.

In 4th Year finance with no internship experience

I know the market’s lil off but still blaming myself 100%. The thing is now im going to be in 4th year in sept with no internship experience. I am preparing for CFA and gonna give it in Nov. How can I make it up(somewhat) to get a job. Do people with no internships get a job? And if they do is it much more difficult or what? My main aim is finance but anything works at the end of the day. Is CFA gonna help at the end or no?
Thankyou for any suggestion.

Schulich vs Queens commerce if I wanna do finance?

I haven't fully decided what I wanna go into but prob finance, for context schulich will be less then 10k and queens over 35k a year. Would appreciate any input comments and good explanations. I know queens is better but is it worth overpaying so much money
