whats the best way to study for these two courses specifically the midterm and final. is it all multiple choice? do we need to read the textbook and everything

im looking at electives and professional writing: an introduction (ap/prwr 1003 6.00) looks very interesting the only issue i have is that the online lecture is at the same time as one of my tutorials. does the prof care if lectures are skipped?

on the course outline it says tutorials have participation but nothing about lectures
