Maximise capacity of Disc...Very Heavy flow!!

For the context, I am 34F, I used menstrual cups for like 5 cycles, then I switch to disc as I have to change the cups every 2-2.5 hours on my heaviest day plus insertion seems a little bit difficult for cups.

So, after switching to disc for last 2 cycles, I have to change it every 3.5-4 hours. even if I auto dump, it start leaking after 15-20 minutes, which makes me even more conscious about leaking.

Am I wearing it correctly, as I know it is not leaking, but it has larger capacity (disc - 55ml, for my cup-21ml), how to know it is fully opened and maximise its capacity and how do you all manage auto dump for like 10 hours, don't you leak after sometime?

Overcoming the morning bladder pressure leak with menstrual discs. Any tips?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been a menstrual cup user for the past 4 cycles, but I recently switched to a menstrual disc. I’m running into a specific issue and could really use some advice.

While I'm actually asleep, I have zero leaks. But the exact moment I wake up in the morning—even while I'm still lying in bed—it starts leaking, and I have to literally rush to the bathroom.

The weirdest part? When I remove the disc, it isn't even full.

I’m guessing this is due to morning bladder pressure shifting the disc, but I’m not sure how to prevent it.

  • Has anyone else dealt with this specific "morning leak" issue?
  • How did you overcome it?
  • Could it be a sizing issue, or do I just need to tuck it higher?

Thanks in advance!
