What do we think? Ignore the slight mess I'm getting ready to move back in.
I'm also trying to be more butch.. tips are appreciated
My body does this weird thing and I've never really talked about it, but I've been curious to see if anyone else does anything similar. It doesn't happen often, usually every few months. I think it has something to do with consciousness and what stage of sleep I'm in.
It starts with a weird feeling down my back and then my body will tense, mainly my chest. It's like it's tightening in a way. That fuzzy feeling right before a limb falls asleep and it's like just my chest is shaking. It gets really strong and squeezes me after a few moments and, depending on how bad, I will be unable to move our even breathe. It never lasts more than 30 seconds to a minute, but it feels like forever.
It only happens when I'm thinking about and doing something in whatever I'm dreaming about at the time and gets strong only if I do certain things in the dream. Sometimes it even physically hurts my body. I always know when it's gonna happen right before, but it's like there's no escaping it and it's usually in bad dreams.
Would this be considered sleep paralysis? Or some other weird thing? Does anyone else experience it?

Hi! I'm a 20 year old NB person and I've been dealing with all of the symptoms of PMOS for a long time now, but my hormone labs have looked fine every time we checked. I always thought that my excessive hair growth just happened to be from my super Italian genes, but if I dont keep up with it, my sideburns will turn into a beard and I regularly grow hair on my upper lip. On top of that, my arm, legs, pits, and stomach all are super hairy as well. This symptom I honestly don't mind as much because it's gender affirming in some aspect, but the other symptoms have been the biggest bothers.
I got my first period right before 5th grade, but late 8th grade I had to go on birth control because my period miraculously disappeared and only BC would bring it back and it was the only time my period felt like your classic period. Mid freshman year of college I stopped BC for a year to get a fully natural reading of my hormones but they were all well within their normal ranges. I haven't been on it since and I'm about to start my junior year, but my periods are basically nothing. I bleed for two days at most, and the second day it's barely anything. Most of my bleeding is just clots and I only cramp on the first day, which range from very light to decently rough. I do believe I have PMDD due to years of extreme depressions that hit before my periods, but that's a separate conversation.
I also do have insulin resistance. My insulin was incredibly high during my special glucose blood panel, but my A1C and other labs were perfectly in range. The chronic fatigue has been a major stressor, along with the fact that no matter how much sleep I get, I just hate waking up. I love to work out but getting into the gym and keeping consistent is the hardest part. I went on metformin extended release for 2 weeks before having a horrible blood sugar crash and being advised by my doctor to stop it. I get awful boils on my thighs and my armpits are always calloused and itchy. I'm obviously on the bigger side of the scale. Despite multiple people with PMOS telling me it's very likely, I just don't have the labs that support it.
My ultimate question is should I push for another doctor? Or look into other possible reasons? I've been diagnosed with vestibular migraines and I'm looking into POTs based on recent heart issues, along with potential ADHD. I've been diagnosed with depression and severe anxiety but still have yet to get off the waitlist for a professional on those. I used to be very active but it felt like this just changed for the worse. Dieting has never helped, consistency feels impossible to achieve. Does anyone have any advice?
