tongue piercing hurting after months
I pierced my tongue in august, it had many problems and was a nightmare to heal. (the piercer didn't screw it right, it fell the first night and closed, the day after I went back to the shop and she pierced the same hole once again, I later discovered it was very risky and in fact it bleed FOR DAYS, I even had to go to the ER to stop the bleeding, but days later it stopped and was just fine).
I haven't had problem once it healed, but now months passed and it randomly hurts.
I can feel see the teeth marks on my tongue so maybe the problem is that I bite it during my sleep, but it always hurts in the same point of the tip of it and the piercing feels itchy and slightly hurts, causing much discomfort during the day.
Do you think the problem is the piecing or maybe something else?
I really like this piercing and since it took so long to heal it would be so sad to take it off.
(it's a barbell, I think surgical steel, it has been downsized once it healed, don't have much aftercare rn I just use mouthwash and clean my tongue)
