Social media managers, are you also struggling to keep up with competitor content everywhere?

I genuinely feel competitor tracking has become harder than actual content creation now.

Brands are posting across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, Reddit, founder accounts, creator pages… literally everywhere. And it’s not even just about tracking posts anymore. You also have to notice engagement patterns, content formats, messaging shifts, creator collaborations, ad creatives, audience reactions and platform focus.

By the time you notice a trend or messaging pattern properly, competitors have already been pushing it for weeks.

I keep saving posts, checking engagement manually, stalking competitor pages every few days, going through ad libraries and random screenshots but it still feels impossible to properly track what’s actually working for them consistently.

And if you’re handling multiple brands together, it becomes even more chaotic because every client expects quick competitor insights all the time.

Curious how other social media managers are handling this without spending hours every day on research.

Revived father's wedding watch (>25 y.o.)

All it took was a simple battery replacement. Thankfully, the old battery was already removed, so there was no battery leakage.

Why does India have one of the world's largest entertainment industries, but almost zero solid academic infrastructure for it?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been thinking about the massive disconnect in Indian higher education. We are a country absolutely obsessed with cinema, streaming, and content creation, yet our mainstream academic landscape completely ignores the media sector. If you want to do engineering or an MBA, there’s a hyper-defined path, but if you want to enter film or creative production, you are left to figure it out entirely on your own.

The harsh reality is that a traditional, textbook-heavy degree gets you absolutely nowhere in this space. You cannot learn how to handle a mid-production crisis, manage a chaotic set, or negotiate with an OTT platform from a dated curriculum written by someone who has never stepped onto a commercial set. If you want to break into media, you have to actively seek out insights from actual industry practitioners.

I recently watched an episode of 10 Questions with Rahul Puri by Whistling Woods International where veteran producer/CEO Samar Khan drops a massive truth bomb about this. He notes how not having a formal film education actually saved him from rigid academic shackles, forcing him to learn directly from the trenches. His biggest advice for students? Stop chasing titles right away, get your hands dirty for 5-6 years first, and build real on-ground crisis management skills.

Curious to hear from anyone who tried breaking into creative industries in India, did formal college paths actually help you, or did you have to unlearn everything on the job?

Aakhri Sawal isn’t perfect, but it says things most Bollywood films are scared to say

I went into Aakhri Sawal expecting a loud political film, but what surprised me was how discussion heavy it actually is. The movie spends a lot of time questioning narratives around nationalism, the RSS, and how certain ideologies are represented in public discourse.

Will everyone agree with it? Obviously not. But I think that’s exactly why the film is getting attention. It presents a perspective that many people feel Bollywood has ignored for years.

I have two 20g silver coins from Kalyan Jewellers (bought during an offer for around ₹2000 each). I’m planning to sell them now and had a couple of doubts:

  1. Does Kalyan Jewellers buy back their own silver coins?

If yes, do they offer payment via bank transfer at market rate with standard deductions?

  1. If they don’t buy back, what should I keep in mind while selling to local jewellers?

Specifically:

●What percentage deduction from market rate is considered fair?

●Any common tricks or pitfalls to avoid?

Would appreciate insights from anyone who has sold similar coins recently.
