Un-ironically I think creating the full picture, plus adding the song knocked me out of the funk I was in.

I think I just need to stop trying to draw realistic body types for a bit and just experiment with simpler styles.

This and the FuYi Agenda video were meant to be a pair but I could only post one video at a time.

I've been in just the worst funk with my drawings recently, it feels like nothing is clicking right, I don't know if I'd be doing better if I wasn't just drawing on my phone, and I'm sure this is something most artists go through at some point but this feeling is just horrible.

I wish I had a sparkledog phase when I was growing up.

I wanted to work on expressions for my oc, but it feels wrong, somehow, to not use some form of the /\ kind of mouth. One of them disturbs me every time I see it...

I just gotta figure out how to translate some of these over to the version of him with the veil.

So Im not too good at drawing but I'm a little better at photo editing, so I'm probably gonna start experimenting with layering effects.

I feel the mouth ended up better in the second picture but, the eyes were better in the first, but trying harsher lighting has been fun

I was totally wrong yesterday, I 100% am hyperfixating on Fuxi.

Also I made 2 of these but it's only letting me post 1 at a time.

I was totally inspired by Sprite_Apple's Yaugust post with Hamilton music.

Say what you want about him, I think the Yinnovator could sell me on the whole "mutant hivemind thing".

I was getting frustrated trying to redraw my oc (posing, perspective, and all that) so I just decided to redraw the little freak like this. I also decided to retroactively remove his bird legs (I think I bit off more than I could chew there).

I also realized the story I wrote feels like he seems like much more of a dramatic character (or at least kinda angsty), than I intended, it doesn't help that I mostly skipped past all the points in time he wouldn't be miserable, I.e. any time before the launch of New Kunlun, and most of the time after his augmentation.

I plan on writing a little more about those times, but I'll probably still avoid any dialogue (I don't think I have the chops for that right now).

This might also be my favorite picture of Ximu I've drawn right now, but given I've only drawn him 3 times, I think the bar is pretty low.

Every time I see Nuwa's instrument (I think it's a hulusi, albeit a weird one) I can't help but think of those toy flutes that play pre-recorded sounds when you push buttons.

I wanted to try something new, so I figured I'd check Lady Ethereal off the list of characters I haven't drawn yet. It turned out ok

If we all imagine that Yi is real, we can manifest him into existence. We all start pressing our fingers against our temples and just start thinking VERY hard (if your nose starts bleeding l that means it's working). I can't imagine creating a tulpa can go wrong in any way.

Also manifest that he has a pompadour.

(I am not liable if your nose does in fact start bleeding, buyer beware and all that)

I put all the layers together, and it destroyed some things, including the makeup, I tried to fix it but it's not too bad.

I intentionally tried to make Nuwa have more "rounded" shapes and Fuxi more angular.

I'm trying to teach myself perspective now... I think it's gonna take me awhile though

I felt disgust (and maybe fear) every time I zoomed out while making this, also made a png version because I saw it was an option.

My personal favorite is Long-Head Ji theory.

Even if the 2 year anniversary short has him in a different hat and immediately kills the theory

I've finally finished my oc, it just took... two months. Honestly as my full body drawing, I feel I did pretty okay. Though there is plenty of room for improvement.

I've also written what ended up being a much longer than intended backstory, (I still glossed over alot)

I hope I have the right viewing settings set

I'd like to make a pre-New Kunlun design at some point too.

I tried to draw him as a bit of a "heavier" guy, but I feel I could have done better, I'm sure I'll iron out the details with future drawings.

I'm so glad I gave Nine Sols a shot, it is such an amazing game, and has given me so much more of an appreciation for art and all the work it takes to make it.

So I'm working on the story for my oc, and it's already around 3 paragraphs long (and it's just pre-game story). How should I post it? Copy and paste it here, or should I make some kind of Google doc for it? My notes app has also already crashed on me twice now.

Update: I have finished and will post it as a Google doc tomorrow, if it's any good I might also post it to wattpad. But I got a headache now, so I'm gonna go to bed. 8/8/26 (today's date)

Gonna be honest, that picture of Fuxi in the artbook, the one he's doing Nuwa's makeup, drives me crazy, kicking my legs and giggling. I've never felt that way towards anyone, real or otherwise
