Does HKU provide international students with Fin.A? Or is it just the scholarships for internationals?

If Fin.A is given, Should I apply for it before or after admission?

My IAL grades are A*AA in Chemistry, Biology, Physics respectively. My CV is focused on Environmental studies. But I want to increase my chances of getting into HKU. Will applying to Social Sciences (major in geography) give me a higher chance of getting in than BSc (major in env.sciences)?

Hello ! Saw that the application window has opened for 'Youth Action Summit, Berlin in 2027'. Has anyone applied? Anyone thinking of applying? Is this 100% legit? Or a scam. The website looks pretty legit.

I got rejected by NUS Env.sciences. I'm thinking of appealing to Humanities and Sciences (Major: Life Sciences) because they say appealing for the same programme is highly unlikely to be successful. Can anyone who has appealed share their essays? Do mention if the appeal was successful or not. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you in advance !

I emailed the SG MOE Yesterday and they said the following when I asked if the grant is given based on academic/non-academic merit;

"The Tuition Grant is not awarded based on academic or non-academic merit. Eligibility is determined solely by whether you have previously received any Tuition Grant, subsidy, sponsorship, or scholarship from the Singapore Government for a qualification that is at the same level as, or higher than, the course you are applying for."

I don't get it? I know some NUS kids who did not get the grant even if the above requirement was fulfilled? Plus I have seen in several places that it is based on academic merit.

Please clarify if you know. Thank you in advance:)

Prospective NUS Student awaiting decisions. I'm looking forward to a scholarship interview and would like someone to clarify the following;
- Is it possible for Internationals to receive an interview in July? (I called them today and NUS said that the decisions for International (Sri Lankans) will be released towards the End of July).

- Can someone chance me for a scholarship? Would really appreciate some advice.

Macbook Neo (256 GB) or Macbook Air (M3/M4/M5)?

I wish to buy a brand new one and can afford the Neo but could find a way to buy the Air as well. Low-income student. Buying from my own money. Can I use the Neo throughout all 4 years?

Or should I buy the Air?

1 - I still have not received any update on my application. Does this mean I was not accepted?

2 - Are international students (Non-ASEAN) still being interviewed for scholarships or has the process ended? Does that mean I was not selected for scholarships?

3 - I have some major recent achievements I would like to be considered with my application, if it has not been reviewed yet. How do I submit these?

I have submitted my application for RCs (No response yet). But incase I do not get into an RC I need on-campus accommodation (Eg: Halls like Raffles). How and WHEN do I apply for these ? What are available other than halls (cheap ones)?

Would really appreciate a response!
