Cantilever (bedside) bassinet saftey concerns
I am having bassinet concerns. I purchased the Beside me Dreamer bassinet and loved it at first until I read in my pediatrician notes they are neither recommended nor advised against by AAP. but now there are recent safety reports about cantilever bassinet safety and tilting. I have found my 8 week old now with his face against the mesh maybe 3 times now. It doesn't look like it tilts, but I have stopped using it until I find out more. I think I will ask for my money back. Maybe I am overreacting? First time mom with anxiety. Here is the consumer report. I talked to Amazon already and they told me to contact the manufacturer. I'm tempted to get a level out to see if I am crazy. Also, I read back through old reddit post about babies with their faces up against the mesh and many did seem to mention beside bassinets like Halo, one even pointed out the tilt and said they put something under one side. Hopefully this is the right.place to ask this.
