LTFT (80%) for IMT and no nights
Hi all,
I’m due to start IMT from August in the West Midlands, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a few questions I have.
Due to a long term health condition, I am not able to do any night shifts. I’m an FY2 at the moment and was able to get reasonable adjustments through occupational health. I’m planning on doing the same for IMT and alternatively asking for twilight shifts to replace nights.
I’m also considering going LTFT (80%) for the first rotation of IMT1 and all rotations of IMT2.
By doing the above, does anyone know if it would definitely extend completion of IMT regardless of how good my portfolio is? I know each deanery can be different so does anyone have information about West mids specifically? And by not having nights, will I struggle in getting my competencies signed off compared to my peers or can most of the competencies be done during the day / on call shifts?
Thanks!
