Junta Operations in Kayah have seen the recapture of Moebye, Demoso and Hpasawng, effectively taking control of Loikaw-Demoso-Hpruso-Bawlakhe-Hpasawng Road.
While meeting military officers in Kalaw, he boasted about recent operations clawing back significant territory and recapturing key towns and routes like Falam and Mandalay-Myitkyina Highways.
He also urged soldiers to focus on training to improve their combat capabilities, He urged them to master modern weapons and study global conflicts.
The Junta is currently aiming to regain control of majority of Chin State, especially southern Chin to cut off Rakhine from Chin. They are also planning on a major offensive in Kachin State, part of which is to relink with Bhamo.
As of now the town is considered recaptured by the Junta. More photos will be most likely released
This would be the third major assault in total.
The Junta will intensify it’s counter offensive pacify Chin State. They have started bombing Mindat, Kanpetlet, Matupi and Paletwa in the south while also launching an assault towards Tonzang with 600 men from Tedim in the North with ZRA.
350 men from the Junta has also arrive the Saw, a strategic town on the border of Magwe and Chin, its right beside Kanpetlet. A 200 men column has also already occupied Kangyi, north from Saw which leads to Mindat. They also imposed a blockade in Kangyi, preventing anything from leaving and entering Chin from there.
After retaking Falam, they have also started pushing outwards from the town in a military push, Falam is likely to become the Junta’s base to recapture Myanmar-India Border Trade Hub in northern Chin according to CDM Former Army Captain Zin Yaw.
The Junta is likely using southern Chin as an alternative route to pierce into Rakhine state while still feinting possible Navy insertions and assaults from Gokkyi region to keep up the pressure. The area served as a key supply route for Myanmar military bases in northern Rakhine before the coup.
