Backgrounds silence
Looking for some insight from anyone familiar with law enforcement hiring.
I’m currently a sworn officer lateraling to another agency. I’ve made it through the interview process, command staff interview,still in backgrounds, and then took a polygraph about two weeks ago.
At the end of the polygraph, the examiner told me he wasn’t gonna fail me but there was one area where he saw enough reaction that he would likely recommend a retest. However, he also said that the hiring agency could choose to accept the results and continue the process without a retest if they wanted to.
For context, I was completely honest throughout the process and disclosed everything upfront.
Since then, I haven’t heard anything. No retest request, no disqualification notice, and no update from backgrounds. It’s been about two weeks.
For those who have been through backgrounds as a lateral is this a good or bad sign
