Hi, I’m having trouble keeping my soil out of the drainage layer. My plan had been lava rock with weed blocking fabric over it, and soil over that, but especially around the outside edges, the soil fell down around the edge of the fabric. It seems like there must be some obvious solution I’m missing but I haven’t seen it referenced, the videos all seem to just lay down some fabric and it works perfectly. I could always caulk it to the side of the enclosure or resort to spray foam, but it seems like the must be some detail I’m missing.

I’m getting ready to start my second vertical paludarium. The first was is 12x12x18 and has a small cascade but wasn’t what I’d originally wanted at all. This one is 18x18x24. I’m hoping to use no foam and set up a 2-level waterfall feature to house vampire crabs.

I have ideas, but I want to see your masterpieces!
