As the title says I am 20 soon to be 21 on diversion in the state of Tennessee. I made a mistake right before I turned 19 which landed me on probation for 4 years. Currently on unsupervised now which is great, I’m attending a uni full time and haven’t made any mistake or anything at all, but one thing I struggle with is job hunting. I’m a computer science major and I’d like to have a job or internship, but in the past I’ve been denied from places such as Home Depot and Walmart just from my background, even though I am on diversion. What are ways to overcome this, or is the reality that until I’m off probation and my record is expunged am I just screwed?
