Cursed Technique: Energy Overclock (Continued)
The biggest criticism of the Cursed Technique in my last post - apart from the ai artwork - was the fact that all sorcerers seem to be able to “Overclock” during traumatic events. As one Redditor cleverly pointed out “That might have been the way Mai died”, which is true; Mai creates a cursed tool using, well… her life.
However, my innate technique lets sorcerers do this on command, not just when they are traumatized as a last ditch effort to live.
Sorcerers can force themselves beyond exhaustion in moments of desperation. Overclock turns that instinct into a cursed technique. Rather than allowing the body to collapse when cursed energy reaches zero, the technique forcibly converts biological functions into cursed energy at extreme efficiency. Heart rate, muscle tissue, blood oxygen, nervous activity - all are consumed as fuel, on demand.
It was fair criticism. But I was going for less of a Kashimo-style suicide CT and more a technique that weaponizes the ‘pushing past your limits’ aspect of the power system. Everyone can overextend in JJK - this CT turns that into an actual viable mechanism with scaling, burnout and recovery that my OC is able to use several times to survive tricky encounters with those above his grade.
