Is the story always so bleak and depressing?
I'm a very new reader, currently at 240 or something chapter, where the cast is riding the statue to go south in the forgotten shore.
I generally don't like sad and depressing stories, but was enjoying the story till now. I think Sunny is the most interesting MC I have ever read. But I just had to take some minor spoilers just so I may know more about Cassie's dream.
Here's all I know about the future:-
a) Cassie has betrayed/will be betraying Sunny, maybe by revealing his true name, so that she can help Nephie. Maybe she'll betray him again in the future, but not sure.
A common troupe of web novels that I don't like, but still readable.
b) Everyone's going to forget Sunny for a very long time, if not forever.
This troupe, I have read in some fantasy romance stories and I don't like it at all. This is a fate worse than death, and I don't want ANYONE suffer this.
Here's the deal. I like light hearted stories, which mostly keeps a smile at my lips. I had just heard the name of this web novel and thought to try it. And now I'm at a weird point where I want to read ahead, but do not reach at an even more depressing position.
And I want to ask you guys:- Should I continue? Will I be too devastated? Or will it be able to make me smile every couple of chapters? Would it be worth it?
Tldr- I got some spoilers that the story will turn more and more sad. And I do not like sob stories. Should I stop?
