Finished my first non-precon deck.
I finished my first deck that isn’t just jamming cards into a pre-con. I wanted something that would be able to go up against bracket 4s because my friend is a power gamer with a Yuriko deck. 🤮
It’s basically a fairish 4+ card combo deck. It’s meant to go infinite with either Abdel, a mana source, an Archeomancer type creature and a flicker spell or just three self exile creatures.
The finishers are the Rishidan trio / Cloudskate / Agent of Treachery to wipe everything off the board or steal it
OR
Just use Moonshaker Cavalry and Reins of Power casted recurred and casted for haste for a combat win. The amount of soldiers Abdel makes passively and unicorns Blessed Sanctuary makes is pretty substantial too.
It’s a very subtle deck and doesn’t do anything too scary until it’s ready to combo off. Nobody really interacts with me because my board is either non-threatening or behind my commander which would give me a bunch of enters triggers. I win a lot of games because no one removes Abdel. I usually hold up a flicker spell for evasion too.
I think this is technically bracket 3 but it’s a little gross. I usually just scoop if I have a MLD combo and no one can stop it. Or try to win with combat.
Now I need to think up a new deck to play. I want to make something more fun like a Blim deck.
