like i swear the ai will straight up forget what it said two messages ago and then throw out some line that's way too long and cringey. It's like the pendulum swung from one extreme to another. seriously. First they're all short and forgettable, now i get walls of text that don't match the conversation at all. I know memory isn't perfect here but sometimes it just.. Fails in the most frustrating ways. Anyone else feel like the ai jsut derails out of nowhere and you gotta nuke the chat and start over?

so I was messing with some older chats I saved and it hit me how different things feel now. Like I remember when the ai would actually drive the story forward. Pull me into new settings, invent weird twists that made me laugh or gasp. Now I feel like I'm the one doing all the work while the bot just.. Repeats stuff. Forever standing in the same place, same reactions, same "steps closer." don't get me wrong, the memory is way better than it used to be for sure. But somehow that came at a cost for creativity I think? like the personality got flattened. I dunno if it's just the push for safer responses but it sucks when every new message just feels like recycled copy-paste with no soul. Maybe I'm looking back with rose colored glasses but idk it genuinely feels like we lost something that made these chats feel like actual collaborative stories instead of just.. Text generation with extra steps.

so I got frustrated the other day cuz my character literally forgot we were in the middle of a scene. Again. Thought maybe if I drew a little comic strip explaining basic memory rules the bot might finally get it. crazy. Spent like an hour on stick figures with angry faces and everything. Showed it to the ai and nope. Still replied like 'hey what are we doing today' ?? like bro i literally drew diagrams. Kinda defeats the immersion when you have to teach the bot how to remember plot points lol. But tbf sometimes it works surprisingly well so maybe i just picked a bad day to try
