Anyone using water softeners in apartments in Bangalore, especially Whitefield side where most water supply is tanker or borewell based?

The water here is insanely hard. Getting scaling everywhere and hair/skin also taking a hit. Looking for recommendations that actually work in apartments. Would prefer bathroom only solution but open to full apartment as well.

How’s your experience been with brands like Kent, WaterScience, etc? Bucket softeners worth it or proper shower/tap softeners needed?

Would prefer something low maintenance if possible.
