Reason for selling: The charger came with newly purchased MacBook Pro. Already using a 70 watt charger, hence selling the new one.
Got scammed for 7k while buying a 2TB NVMe SSD.
He had listed it for 10k, bargained till 7k and we moved to WhatsApp. Initially we planned to close the deal next day itself but he kept insisting on finishing it the same day. I suggested Uber/Porter parcel and after checking delivery charges I even told him lets do it tomorrow only. But he again pushed for same day and said he'll handle delivery charges too.
At that point everything looked genuine honestly. Shared Aadhaar, invoice, packed pics of the SSD, same name on UPI etc. I've done many deals like this before for PC hardware so didnt think much of it. Bought a GPU last week too.
Biggest mistake I made was paying just before pickup.
After payment he rerouted the rider around 1-2km away, gave him an empty box, deleted his WhatsAppaccount and walltetaccount and switched off the number completely.
Parcel came and obviously empty box inside. Lost another 300 on delivery too.
Cybercrime complaint already filed. But more suggestions are welcomed on how to get my money back.
Posting this mainly so others dont make the same mistake. Dont pay before proper pickup/verification even if the seller looks genuine.
And I hope the only thing he builds inside is cancer cells.
