Bible customization

I’m going to be a little vague in hopes he doesn’t find my post. Husband would like a specific Bible. I have figured out which one it is and it’s on order. I’m wanting to gift it to him for Father’s Day but I’m wanting to add our children’s handprints to it on a page.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to probably do the prints on a separate page and then glue it into the Bible- but I know Bible paper is different than your average run of the mill book. I’ll have a better idea when I have the Bible in my hands but I’m thinking of glueing it to the inside front page after of course I get the prints and “laminate” it with packing tape to make sure it doesn’t smear.

Is there a better way? If not any recommendations on glue? Can I use regular ol Elmer’s?
