5080 vs 9070 xt

So I can get a 9070 xt for $949 CAD and a 5080 for $1760 CAD. Is the 5080 really worth $810 more, will I notice the difference? I understand that the 5080 ranks as one best GPUs on the market that isn't out of this world expensive. I am just worried that I am paying extra for a GPU and I won't be utilizing it. I also want to have a build that is future proof!

Skyrim Mods

Would steamOS allow you to download and load NexusMods for skyrim or really any game you want to mod. Or is it meant to be played like a console?

New and Old PC build

Hey Guys,

This is the first ever time posting and I am looking for some advise an guidance.

I am currently on the AM4 chip set system and I am looking into building a new computer on the AM5 chip set. My new set up is listed below and I am trying to go the best of the best without resorting to a 5090 because I don't have that kind of money to spend.

Motherboard : Asus tuf gaming X870E Plus

CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3d

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 5080

Cooler: Be quite dark rock pro 5

Power supply: Seasonic Focus GX ATX 3

Ram: G.Skill Flare x5 series 32GB of ddr5 ram

But I was thinking of doing a small form factor PC for my living room with my older pc running SteamOS on linux. This would be new to me as well seeing I have never worked with linux. But I wanted to know if a amd Rizen 5800x 3.8 GHz and a RTX 3070 would be enough to run a system without over heating.
