Coming down boomer mountain yesterday and got stuck at the intersection to the dump. Noticed traffic lights went green to non existent traffic. On the way back, same thing, traffic lights on green for about 20 seconds but no traffic coming from the retirement home st. Made me wonder why traffic lights have not kept up with technology to identify traffic patterns and when cars are waiting.

Tonight I see Moreton Council investing 170k to upgrade their traffic lights with AI. Surely that would have been a good investment by SCC. Just head down to the new CBD and prepare to be infuriated by red lights with no cars. All those data centres and LinkedIn posts about being the next silicon Valley when we can't even invest in tech

After being stranded last year with no train home beyond Caoolture, I thought I would double check the train situation again. A train leaves Milton Station or Roma station at 10pm. Considering the last game will finish around 9:45pm its impossible to make it without leaving early.

There is only 1 tother train that you could get to in time leaving Roma St at 11:30pm getting in to Nambour after 1:00am. If that train is cancelled its a long wait to leave at 7am. This is without considering any industrial action. So have decided I won't be drinking and will have to drive this year.

Tell me again how we are going to host the Olympics when we cannot even get magic round transport right.
