Just finished my first ever watch through

!SPOILERS!
Idk why you’d be on this sub if you haven’t seen it, but just be warned, I’m gunna be spoiling stuff.

I didn’t cry when I watched it, I really wanted to, but I just didn’t.

I want to preface that I was told “you will cry when you watch this” and “it’s so good but it’s really depressing”, so I was set on a bad start already.

No, I didn’t know what exactly happened going into it, I was given no spoilers other than my sister and my friend saying it’s going to make me cry.

I thought it was really good, the animation was gorgeous, the story was very sweet and heartbreaking and conflicting like real life can be, the music really spoke to me, the characters were dynamic and I appreciated them touching on topics that most people may not want to, like abuse and trauma, and obviously death, but shows are more likely to touch on that subject. I really liked it though, I thought it was well worth watching, but it didn’t make me cry, and I cry over the smallest things, I cried at the end of the show Disjointed, I cry everytime I rewatch it too, I cry over just sweet words from a TikTok of someone being positive or kind, I cry when I’m happy, I cry when I’m sad, I cry when I’m angry, I cry when I’m embarrassed, I cry when I’m overwhelmed, all of it, I really wanted this show to make me cry, I went into it with that intention, knowing it would make me cry, and it just didn’t.

I say all of this to give context that I’m not just an unemotional person, I’m very emotional about everything, but for some reason it just didn’t hit me, and I think it’s partly because I was told it would be sad, plus it isn’t ever fully explained how she died, I can only assume she didn’t make it through surgery, which is really sad, and I don’t know why it didn’t hit me, maybe it wasn’t long enough to get attached to the characters for me? Maybe saying it’s sad was a spoiler and ruined it? I feel bad that I didn’t cry, because it was sad, and it was a really sweet heartwarming show.

I think maybe them hyping up how sad it was just prepared me too much, and so I wasn’t surprised by the ending, which is disappointing, because I really liked it, I just didn’t cry.

I know I’m not the only one, so I’d love to hear others take on it, and if they were spoiled beforehand and if that’s the common denominator.

I’d also love to hear from the people that did/do cry, were you spoiled on the ending? Or did you go in blind thinking it’s just a cute little anime about young musicians who fall in love, or what have you.

Overall, I really liked it, maybe I’ll rewatch it sometime down the line and see if maybe I’m just in the wrong place in my life for the show to hit me how it has hit others.

Anyone here have a mini se selfie attachment?

I have an instax mini 8 and I’m looking to upgrade, but I absolutely hate the lack of brightness exposure control on the mini 12, so the se seems like a good option, but after looking around for like 30 frustrating minutes on instax reviews, I have not found anything about the instax mini se with a selfie lens and what the pictures look like in comparison to the mini se without the attachment to see if the attachment is worth it, or if the mini se is worth upgrading to at all.

My camera still works just fine, but it doesn’t take super great photos, and I’ve seen a couple comparison videos of the 12 vs the 11, but none about the se vs the 8, or even the 12 vs the 8.

So I’m wondering if anyone has any advice or photos they can share so I can see the difference between the se and the 8, with and without the selfie attachment, or if a different one would be better.

The 99 is obviously the best one, but I have to really think on if I want to save up $200+ dollars for it or not.
