As a VIP, what are you looking for from an online casino? - Asking as an operator of one.

I used to be a VIP myself on different casinos a few years ago, however since running my own for little over 3 years now, I might have lost touch with what it is that VIPs are actually looking for.

I'd like to hear your opinions on what it is that casinos does that you like as a VIP. What they offer, how they offer it, what makes a casino stand out to you?

I'm always open to feedback and improving, so I'll definitely be taking any genuine replies to the next meeting to discuss.

1 last thing, free money is not something a true VIP asks for haha! I've seen it way too many times.

The Real Difference Between Crypto Casinos and Traditional Online Casinos

So here's a breakdown of some differences between online casinos and brick & mortar casinos (from an operator's point of view).

Traditional online casinos are usually built around banking infrastructure first. Everything revolves around payment processors, card providers, bank compliance, regional regulations, and legacy financial systems. Because of that, they often move slower operationally — slower withdrawals, heavier verification, stricter payment controls, and more friction overall.

Crypto casinos were built differently.

Most crypto casinos operate with a much leaner infrastructure. Deposits settle instantly, withdrawals can be processed within minutes, if not instantly, and treasury management becomes significantly easier because funds move on-chain instead of through multiple intermediaries.

Another major difference is player psychology.

Traditional casino players often gamble casually.

Crypto casino players tend to be more aggressive, higher frequency, and significantly more comfortable with volatility. I think it has to do with the fact that a lot of crypto bettors are also invested in crypto itself, leverage trading, and generally participate in higher-risk activities, but I'm not entirely sure.

Slots

This is where, in my opinion, land-based casinos are absolute scams haha, and that's probably me being very biased since I operate an online casino.

But on average, land-based casino slots tend to range from 85–92% RTP, which is absolutely insane. That’s such a massive range, and 85% is incredibly low.

With most trustworthy online casinos, RTP ranges from 96–98%, which is a lot more reasonable in my opinion. You can literally feel the difference.

Bonuses & Rewards

Crypto casinos give out bonuses like candy, while land-based casinos would laugh at you if you asked them for anything.

There are a few reasons for this, but I’d point out that the main reason is the fact that profit margins are quite thin for land-based casinos.

All the expenses: buildings, electricity, staff, maintenance, payment providers, licensing, and about 100 other things as well. So even though their RTP is much worse for players, they don’t really have much of a choice.

The Truth About RTP and why your sessions don't mean anything

https://preview.redd.it/qnnwdkchf72h1.png?width=1672&format=png&auto=webp&s=d920b6d218d4cd8bd2f022309cc0eac1de2b8325

One thing I’ve noticed running an online casino is how many players judge a casino’s fairness based on a single session or a few sessions.

“I deposited $500 and got rinsed instantly, this site is rigged.”

Or the opposite:

“I turned $100 into $8k in 20 minutes, this slot is broken.”

People throw around “RTP” constantly without really understanding what it means. RTP (Return to Player) is calculated over millions/billions of spins - not your Friday night session after a few beers and a bad streak even if it's over the course of days or weeks.

A slot with 96% RTP does not mean:

  • You get $96 back every $100
  • You slowly lose predictably
  • Every session should feel “fair”

What it actually means is that over an enormous sample size, the game is mathematically designed to return around 96% of total wagered money to players collectively.

Variance is what causes the chaos in the short term.

That’s why:

  • One player can 100x their deposit in 10 minutes
  • Another can lose 20 spins straight
  • Someone else can buy bonuses for an hour and hit absolutely nothing

That's how variance works.

Legitimate casinos do not need to rig games anyway. The math already favors the house long term. A casino would be risking its reputation, licensing, and entire business model for something completely unnecessary. (Although there are casinos out there that risk it anyways, but they tend to be short lived)

Most players massively underestimate just how brutal variance can feel in short sessions.

If you sit down expecting every session to feel “balanced,” you’re going to think every casino is rigged eventually.

I think the industry does a terrible job educating players on how these games actually function, which is why I'm being transparent about all this.

Everyone here is a gambler - I work in the industry full time as an operator

  1. None of the games you play are rigged, except from the facts that you already know i.e the house edge that's there. (Not including house games in this)

  2. It's very easy to avoid shady casinos online, find someone that gambles online often and ask them, read reviews and go for casinos that have been around for a while.

  3. Higher bet sizes does not lower your chances of winning big, it feels like it does because on $0.20 bet size, you've probably done 100s of thousands of bets over your gambling sessions, while at $10 bet size, you probably haven't even gotten close to it.

  4. You can be profitable gambling, but it's unlikely, but if your motive is to make profit. Then probably don't do it at all.

  5. If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is on a casino.

  6. Deposit small, try withdrawing, if it works then you're most likely safe unless you play with bigger amounts.

  7. Blackjack and Bacarrat are by far the most "fair" games to play, Blackjack usually has a house edge of 0.7% - 1%, same with Bacarrat. (Depending on which provider you play with)

  8. RTP means Return To Play, essentially means after x amount of spins (usually in the billions) the player would remain with x amount left.

Before operating a crypto casino myself, I used to be a VIP on many of the most popular sites out there right now, so I know how difficult it is to truly get rewarded for being a big player on a casino.

For anyone looking to transfer their VIP status from ANY Casino to my Casino, we'll happily welcome you with some free bonuses.

As long as you can provide proof and are willing to play, we're more than happy to make you feel welcomed, give you bonuses and provide the level of bonuses you deserve depending on your level.

Gambulls is the most transparent casino out there, from sharing what we make to showing that we aren't greedy at all, we want to welcome players.

Happy to answer any questions you might have, and if you need anything!
