Hey u/chloe-gimme, Apothecary is schedulted to release another lot of tirzepatide on Monday, 5/11. Do you know if the dispensing pharmacy will have enough stock to fill Gimme’s orders? If they won’t have enough stock, do you know the release date of Apothecary’s next lot?
We got very spoiled by ordering from big 503B outsourcing pharmacies. ProRx and BPI churned out such large quantities of medication that we didn’t encounter “out of stock” issues very often. Yes, the dispensing pharmacies did fall behind on shipping orders, and FedEx did not alwasy deliver by the 2nd day, but there was plenty of tirzepatide to go around.
We need to realize that we are heading into a different era now and we may want to adjust our expectations. Most, if not all, of our medication will be made by 503A compounding pharmacies. 503As won’t have the same big production capacity as ProRx or BPI. We may find that our 503A orders and refills take a lot longer to ship because the dispensing pharmacy is waiting for the release of the next batch of tirzepatide.
Now is a good time to start readjusting our order expectations:
* Place orders and refills early to allow extra time for stock delays.
* Have a couple of vials on hand so you won’t miss shots while waiting for an order.
* Start asking your telehealth(s) to provide weekly inventory updates from the 503Bs they use.

Other telehealths have posted that Apothecary/New Life Tirzepatide is out of stock again. They reported more stock will be available on May 11.
It seems that Gimme often has different contract terms with the pharmacies. Is Apothecary/New Life out of stock for Gimme orders as well?
