Godolphin trainer John Gosden is considering 🇯🇵G1 Autumn Tenno Sho for Ombudsman after 4th place loss at Juddmonte International.

"A mile and a quarter race in Japan" refers to none other than Autumn Tenno Sho or Akiten (2000m/10f). Ombudsman is currently the world's highest-rated racehorse under that distance. Akiten has a really good prize money offer too, higher than any European G1 race that isn't the Arc.

Looks like Japan during the autumn season is possibly getting a strong batch of raiders👀

Admire Terra to continue going to 🇨🇵G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe despite the 9th place loss at Sapporo Kinen.

The plan will apparently stay as is, confirmed by trainer Yasuo Tomomichi.

Tomomichi-san, Melbourne Cup is literally right there......well, whatever I guess.

A list of overseas horses that Forever Young has faced against and his record.

(Source @rdrisms)

Obviously, this doesn't include domestic rivals like Mikki Fight and Wilson Tesoro.

Now we look forward to the future where he will most likely face Sovereignty twice (JCGC and BCC), as well as a possible rematch with Magnitude. He will also face the rest of the top candidates of the 2026 generation namely Golden Tempo, Renegade, Napoleon Solo, etc.

As you can see, with the exception of only one horse being Tumbarumba, all of them are G1 winners.

Bow Echo, the undefeated champion miler and current world's best 3 year-old, has retired.

(Source @gbougheyracing)

I feel like this is relevant to post here because Bow Echo was supposedly planned to compete in the upcoming G1 Prix Jacques le Marois in Deauville, France. That race has JP horses competing, namely Sixpence and Strauss.

Bow Echo would've been the hot favorite to win the race, but this sudden announcement of retiring created a shock. The reasoning is unclear or vague, but apparently they encountered a setback.

Yutaka Take on Triple Crown hopeful Lovcen: "I will stop it. Leave the long Kyoto race to me."

Interview segment taken from "Yutaka Take's 40th Anniversary" event at Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store, with jockey Kenichi Ikezoe acting as the MC. A public talk show attended by multiple fans.

In the event, Yutaka Take made comments on Kohei Matsuyama's Lovcen and on the upcoming Kikuka Sho for a chance to get the Triple Crown. Other than that, his interview also included segments like how grateful he was to be able to travel around the world so much, reflecting on the invitation to Ascot's Shergar Cup, and on his future flight to ride Sixpence at France's G1 Prix Jacques le Marois.

Yutaka Take also entertained a fan's question about having any favorite horses that he rode, where he answered Silence Suzuka as one of them and how he deeply regrets not being able to ride him up until his retirement.

US dirt G1 winner T O Elvis has three options for his next race: to go straight to 🇺🇸G1 Breeders' Cup Sprint, a warm-up race in US, or participate in 🇰🇷G3 Korea Sprint.

Connections of T O Elvis, winner of the 2026 Churchill Downs Stakes (G1), are weighing three possible routes to the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) at Keeneland.

According to trainer Daisuke Takayanagi, the options are:

  • Go straight to the Breeders’ Cup Sprint.
  • Run in a prep race in the United States.
  • Use the Korea Sprint (G3) at Seoul as a final prep before the Breeders’ Cup.

T O Elvis has already been entered for the Korea Sprint, although selection has not yet been confirmed. The colt is currently enjoying a break, and his trainer reports that he is in excellent condition.
