2019 civic ex hatchback ditch or fix

So the long story short is my steering rack is failing and is not on recall for my model year. I owe a little under 12k on my car that I bought used in 22 and I have just shy of 75k miles on it. I have about 3k in positive equity.

I just went out of warranty so racks not covered and if I do it myself I’m looking at 800-1000 in reman rack plus alignment/whateverelse. Local dealer to do it is probably pushing 1500, Honda quoted 3600 but it’s the new updated rack.

Do I A. Trade in and not fix

Do I B. Just suck up the Reman and pray

Do I C. Have Honda do it, and have the new updated rack and just eat the price.

If I was to trade in I’d likely look into an Elantra n line new so I have warranty and get a little bit closer to the power/performance I want that will be a little annoying to figure out with how the spare tire bucket sits and just other annoying things but it would be paid off in another 1.5 years and maybe I just won’t have any other issues? I’m not beating on it and is in great shape otherwise as far as I know.
