Flanagan's Tower

I just finished my first journey to the Dark Tower, and like many of you, it has been the most important story of my life. Not only are there an obscene number of coincidences (I share my name with one of the ka-tet, I live between Chambers Rd and Tower Rd, I began reading the series on my 19th birthday, etc etc), but this tale has helped me to grieve real world loss, battle addiction, cope with OCD, and find purpose. Needless to say, I am very passionate about this story and love to see like minded people in this subreddit. That being said...

As Mike Flanagan pursues his own adaptation of this magnum opus, I am curious what mandates other Calvins might make to sai Flanagan regarding how he decides to tell this story??

Personally, I NEED the atmosphere to be on point. The liminal vibe of the books must be captured in the cinematography, set design, and (sometimes) line delivery. There's an almost Lynchian quality about many scenes in the books (for me, the Dixie Pig was a big one), and while I want Flanagan to stick to his sandalwood grip-guns and do what he does best, I'm hoping he'll attempt to tap into the surreality and uncanny valley that we so often read in this series.
