Crash/Freezing/Blackscreen issues
Hi, I am at my wits end and I am turning to the crowd at large.
I recently upgraded my GPU from a 2070 super to a 7900xtx. The short, I'm in love with the card's performance and in general I am happy. However, pretty much since I've bought the card I have had issues with random freezes (lock-ups) followed by all of my screens going black/blank. All of the monitors coming back up and then some sort of "oops, sorry your gpu shit the bed"
At this point the list of things i've done is exhaustive:
- Uninstalled drivers, and installed drivers
- Fully uninstalled drivers using the AMD clean up tool, then installing drivers.
- Doing step 2, and then before installing new drivers running DDU install in safe mode.
- Targeting specific driver versions with DDU/AMD clean up tool.
- Running CHKDSK /f /r, running sfc /scannow
- Re-installing windows saving no previous configs and wiping all partitions.
- Checked wall outlets to confirm that everything is grounded properly, and moved PSU to it's own outlet.
- Assuming that I was running into some bottle neck, replacing my old AM4 platform (5800x/64GB of RAM/x570s Aorus Gigabyte Board) with a brand new 9800x3D and a 32GB of RAM.
- Reinstalling windows again.
- Doing step 4 again with new hardware.
- Disabled god knows how many hyper-specific BIOS settings.
Nothing. Nothing I have done has worked. I am currently running driver version 26.3.1 (driver install only, no AMD Adrenalin)

My current setup just to include as many details as possible:
3 Monitors, All connected via Displayport. 2x1080p and 1 2k@144hz. 9800x3D XFX 7900xtx Corsair RM1000x I am running Windows 11 version 25H2.
During the whole saga I started out on Windows 10 and upgraded to Windows 11 during the start of this process. Hence one of the reasons I wiped everything and reinstalled windows as I believed it could have been an issue with just a bad install.
Please for the love of god if you have anything that could help my sanity I would love to hear it. I am legit just checking random Reddit posts at this point and trying anything that can stick.
