Eligibility for German MSc: UK affiliated degree (studied in Nepal) + Equivalence Certificate from H+ local university?

Hi everyone,

I am planning to apply for a Master's program in AI / Data Science at a public university in Germany, but I have a complex degree situation and would love some advice on how Uni-Assist might evaluate it.

Here are my degree details:

  • Awarding Body: University of Wolverhampton (UK)
  • Place of Study: Nepal (Herald College Kathmandu - an affiliated private college)
  • Degree: BSc (Hons) Computer Science
  • Grade: First Class Honours

The Anabin Issue & My Equivalence Certificate: My local study location (Herald College) is not listed in the Anabin database. However, Nepal's primary national university, Tribhuvan University (TU), is listed as H+.

Because of my situation, I obtained an official Equivalence Certificate from Tribhuvan University's equivalence determination committee. It explicitly states:

My Questions:

  1. Since my actual college isn't in Anabin, will Uni-Assist accept the Equivalence Certificate from Tribhuvan University (H+) as proof that my degree is recognized?
  2. Does Uni-Assist evaluate me based on the UK grading system (since my degree and transcripts are from Wolverhampton), or the Nepalese system (based on the TU equivalence)?
  3. Has anyone from Nepal, India, or elsewhere with a franchised/affiliated UK degree successfully used a local equivalence certificate to get admitted to a German public university?

Any insights on how to present these documents to Uni-Assist or personal experiences would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!
