First CR Box

Someone here posted a guide from cleanaircville.org that I loosely followed. I don't remember the username, but if you see this, thank you! It's very quiet on the highest setting, and I made it look as fancy as I could for taped up foamboard and filters.

Thinking of asking for a feeding tube. Is that crazy?

Hello, everyone. I've been a member of the sub for a few years now, but currently, I'm more of a lurker. I have severe chronic pancreatitis and had some complications with strictures and stones a few years ago, which I had some endoscopic procedures done to fix in 2023. When I had the blockage and stricture, I dropped from 198lbs to 150ish lbs fast. I figured once the problem was taken care of, I would start packing on weight. That doesn't seem to be the case. I went from 150 to 145 lbs. No biggie. Well, then I kept bouncing between 135 and 145lbs depending on exercise, flare-ups, hunger, etc. It seems I hit 130 lbs not too long ago, and despite eating everything in sight and taking 6 creon 30k lipase with my meals, I can't gain weight.

I have continuously upped the creon over the last few years, I've tried ensure, started drinking milk again, I don't necessarily stop eating unless I have true acute on chronic pancreatitis, which is once a year, but I eat at least something during other flares. I started in palliative care last week, which sounds like it's going to be awesome, and they recommended reaching out to my GI to get a feeding tube, which I recall him mentioning when things were bad if I couldn't eat. However, I can eat and do eat, I just can't gain weight. Has anyone had to get one for similar reasons?
