I need to vent about this because it drives me crazy. Most Winx Club matchups in the VS communities are terrible.

Most of these matchups fail for two big reasons.

Awful Scaling: People either put them against characters just to call down against, or tear them down.

Lazy Connections: Half the matchups only exist because both use one thing like "both use magic". There are no actual thematic connections or good lore similarities.

For examples of the matchups:

Stella vs Blackout: Take Stella vs Blackout (Skylanders) on the Fanon Wiki as a perfect example. The matchup only exists because of a basic "Light vs Dark" cliché. The power scaling is totally lazy—they claim Stella wins ultimately just because they compared Stella fighting Blackout to Stella fighting Darcy in the show, completely ignoring that Blackout controls actual black holes, not dark magic, and also the fight was at night and they never included Stella is weaker in dark "Lore" and Blackout is stronger in dark "Lore" in that fight, which means the matchup would actually go either way. They said Blackout needs time to charge his powers "which actually, Blackout doesn't need time to charge his powers". On top of that, the fight's logic makes no sense, having Blackout impale her only for Stella to shrug it off in the middle of the fight and turn him to ash at the end. The personality and importance of these characters in the fight is just bad writing all around.

Stormy vs Stormfront: Another perfect example of a terrible Winx Club matchup on the Fanon Wiki is Stormfront vs Stormy (The Boys vs Winx Club). This matchup is a joke for two huge reasons: The rating gap, Stormfront is an intensely dark, R-rated Nazi from a satirical superhero show, Stormy is a cartoon witch who yells about magical spells. Having them fight makes no thematic sense in terms of rating. The connections are lazy too: "they use lightning and both have the word Storm in their names." It proves the wiki just forces matchups based on names rather than actual good lore similarities.

Meloetta vs Musa: The Meloetta vs Musa (Pokémon vs Winx Club) matchup is another perfect example of a terrible matchup. The matchup only exists because of a basic 'they both use music.' That’s it. It completely flattens Musa's character just to fit a trope for her to ultimately murder a character in one of the worst ways. On top of that, the whole fight and analysis is a joke, it completely stole parts from official Death Battle's Black Canary vs Sindel and other fan matchups. It took out Meloetta's abilities to control emotions and Perish song, which means this matchup would actually go either way or be a draw, and the fight and analysis is completely inaccurate. What makes it worse is the sheer tone clash; both are peaceful, kind-hearted characters who use music to heal or control emotions, yet the fanon script turns it into a mean-spirited, hyper-violent murder and forced match. It completely ignores who these characters actually are and how their abilities work just to force a fight.

Bloom vs Flame Princess: The Bloom vs Flame Princess (Winx Club vs Adventure Time) matchup on the Fanon Wiki is just a matchup with flaws. The connections stop completely at 'they are fire princesses.' It completely ignores that Flame Princess is an elemental fire while Bloom's power is magical fire from the Dragon Flame. It also copied the official Death Battle's Raven vs Twilight Sparkle, the part is copied from the beginning and from the end of the fight.

Roxy vs Repunzel: The Rapunzel vs Roxy (Tangled vs Winx Club) matchup on the Fanon Wiki. Their lore and story's connections are ok, but they exaggerated both of their scailing, and also, having Roxy lose and having other Winx ultimately win and saying their a threat to that fiction's universe, saying they are stronger than every mythical pokemon "copied from the Black Canary vs Sindel", and saying characters from other franchaises are the "Mortal" ones is convenient because this where Roxy loses sounds like it came from the Winx Club power scailing issues.

As a Winx Club fan, I find these matchups hurting because it feels like it's making both Winx Club and other fiction's childhoods of people and it ruins both's importance and kind hearted image, and i wish there's a better version of these matchups and the future matchups of Winx Club would have personality and heart.

The good matchups I see with Winx Club characters and sound like they would have heart are ones against Sailor Moon characters, W.I.T.C.H. characters, My Little Pony characters, and some other actual Magical characters and Magical girls characters.

What do you think about this, and what would you rank these from top 5 worst to beat of what I've listed here, you don't have to see the matchups or answer the second question.

Hypothetical and "fun" matchups that i made for Winx Club from a long time.

For almost a year looking at which characters fit the Winx Club characters from a site that I don't care for, not interested in and not happy about anymore, Death Battle. I finally found some that have the same connectors.

Sailor Neptune vs Musa: While Sailor Neptune uses water powers and Musa uses sound powers, both are the "mature" and "scout" member of the magical girl group that have multiple transformations, they are the ones that also use music and instruments for combat and finding things, music was part of their childhood and past. Both came from their own planetary realms that treat them as princesses.

Hay Lin vs Musa: Both have creative, artistic hobbies (Hay Lin loves drawing; Musa loves playing instruments and singing). Both are of East Asian culture. They are both the "mature" and "scout" of the group as they both use their powers to find things, In combat, while Hay Lin uses air powers and Musa has music powers, both have the ability to manipulate sound.

Cornelia Hale vs Flora: Blonde Protectors of Nature and Growth. Both control the Earth, allowing them to manipulate plants, soil, and roots in battle. Both are blonde and have a deep appreciation for beauty and fashion. Their personalities might be different, Cornelia is a wealthy, sarcastic, and sometimes vain fashionista, whereas Flora is a gentle, soft-spoken, and deeply empathetic pacifist.

Stella vs Cornelia Hale: The Blonde Fashion Queens. Both are the high-fashion, trend-obsessed blonde "divas" of their groups who care deeply about shopping and appearance. Both are the closest friends/confidantes to the main leaders (Bloom and Will). Their powers might be different, Stella uses the cosmic light of the Sun and Moon, while Cornelia uses the grounded power of the Earth.

Taranee Cook vs Tecna: The Analytical Thinkers of Fire and Tech. Both serve as the "intellect" and the voice of reason for their respective teams. Both are characterized by wearing glasses in their civilian forms and approaching problems with logic. Their powers might be different, While Tecna rules over technology, Taranee utilizes telepathy and fire.

Irma Lair vs Aisha (Layla): The Water-Wielders: Free-Spirited Masters of Fluid Control. Both are the dedicated water manipulators of their groups. Both possess sarcastic, athletic, and fiercely independent personalities. Irma manipulates pure liquid water and mind control, while Aisha manipulates Morphix, a pink fluid plasma that she can solidify into constructs, both use fluids as their powers.

Sadly, I tried to put Sailor Neptune vs Musa in a Death Battle fan sites but they completely dismissed it and ignored it despite the other's that were newer or older than this one, so I got out of that wiki and that's why I'm putting these matchups here, and I'm too scared to put the thumbnails of my matchups here.

The toxic double standards of battleboarding fandoms vs character-focused communities against certain "cute", "magical girl type", and "for kids" characters.

I know Death Battle and vs aren't interesting and are not meant to be taken seriously but I feel like Death Battle fandoms are toxic against "cute" "magical girl" and "for kids" characters and matchups like these.

I’ve spent almost a year developing a unique, original matchup I call "Musical Interference" (Sailor Neptune vs. Musa). I chose this after extensive research into which characters truly match the themes and fighting styles of Winx Club. However, when sharing this in "Death Battle" spaces, I’ve been completely dismissed or ignored in favor of repetitive trends and low-effort posts.

I've noticed that the Death Battle fandom in general often plays favorites based on aesthetics. There is clear bias and favoritism in the Death Battle fandoms against certain characters and matchups that are perceived as a "small and cute" or "magical girl" or "for kids game" type, people automatically assume these characters and matchup ideas are weak and disregard the character's actual abilities and the matchup's most possible pairings, they even go so far that they want magical girl and "magical girl type" characters like Usagi, Madoka, and Meloetta to get humiliated by other magical girls that they prefer to win and just make matchups with a magical girl vs a non magical girl instead of magical girl vs magical girl, I also noticed that the Fanon wiki deleted someone's magical girl battle with Usagi in it because the fight showed and talked about their transformations.

The most distressing part of these communities is how they treat both characters we love in these matchups. I’ve noticed matchups on Fanon Wikis like Donkey Kong vs Starfy, Mario vs Maxwell, or Meloetta vs Musa, that portray kind-hearted heroes as mean-spirited, hyper-violent murderers, especially out of all Characters and Pokemon, they chose those three the "for kids" and "magical girl type" to be killed like this. These portrayals ignore the characters' true personalities just to see them killed in "out of character" ways for the sake of raw power debates. As a fan of Winx Club, seeing heroes on both sides who represent kindness and teamwork reduced to either "fodder" or killers is genuinely painful, traumatizing, and bad for some people's health, while these matchups would realistically go either way, they took out some of these character's abilities to make it a murder scene rather than a 50/50.

Has anyone actually experienced this or am I the only one?

Can we talk about the actual Winx club canon vs "Fan-Wank"?

I've been thinking a lot about how people discuss power levels. It feels like a lot of conversation comes from "fan-wank" or applying to real-world physics to things. Especially when it comes to Winx club.

And I hear things from people saying "Flora can give cancer" or "Musa can liquify organs and split the earth" or "Aisha can control blood" or "Bloom has no limits", when I try to find proof in the official lores, I don't see anything that supports their claims.

As someone who used to be interested in vs, I find the official Winx powers more interesting than just exaggerating them, I usually just see them makeing Winx characters "overpower or murder a non-magical character, to a Winx character draw or lose against a magical character" instead of an actual match, I see this a lot and it feels forced.

When people make them into "Gods that can tear apart everything" they lose the stakes, in the official lore, they are powerful, tactical fairies who rely on teamwork and emotional growth to win- not "flesh destroying merciless Non-mortal gods".

Why do people feel the need to do all this to make them "cool" or "better" or "more important"? Isn't the official lore of Bloom and the Dragon Flame or the specific rules of transformations like Enchantix and Sirenix enough? Are people ignoring that Winx club's power levels don't exist? Why do people think there personalities are blood lusting instead of heros that save planets and universes?

I'd love to hear from people who prefer the official canon and evidence over the hypothetical math.

Question 1. As the people who loves magical girls, what's your opinion about non magical girls like Goku and others.

Question 2. Which one do you like more from battle shonen.

Question 3. who is your favorite to least favorite magical girl and favorite to least favorite non magical girl.

This is what I've experienced from these misogyny and underestimating that are interesting.

First, of course Goku vs Sailor Moon, in YouTube videos and shorts, people say in a mean way that goku can use his magic to spawn zeno to erase sailor moon and the universe, Goku doesn't have magic to spawn zeno he has to have a zeno button to do it and also they don't realize that sailor moon has the power to erase goku and the universe too.

Second, while these small mythical pokemon may not be 'magical girls' but this one is pretty interesting because these people think their feminine with magic and that's why I putted them here, Wolfgang vs Meloetta on death battle fanon wiki, Akuma vs Meloetta from deviant from SonicPal, and other matchups with other small mythical pokemon like celebi, victini, and diancie, comments in each of them were pretty salty by flatting out disagreeing with the creator of the matchup's opinion in a negative way saying 'i disagree with the verdict' 'Wolfgang would kill her with one punch' 'Meloetta is weaker than gen 4 to 6 mythical Pokemon' 'Wolfgang can push through her powers' 'Im glad he won' 'Biased😡' and than the Akuma vs Meloetta comments when they were being hissy against the creator of the match's opinion on the verdict (which was meloetta). These matchups got people angry that they made revenge matchups to make their favorite or the character they preferred to win murder the pokemon that won, it feels like people can't make fun matchups with these pokemon without people acting like this, they don't realize that these pokemon would truly win with their hax.

Third, Dragon ball characters like Goku vs Madoka, in the youtube comments, they were mocking Madoka and her fans saying Madoka and her verse is fodder and overrated, they don't realize she is universal to multiversal.

These people just want a masculine and manly character to win everytime but if they don't win, those people get so angry that they'll attack the creator of the match or jump out to attack the character that rely on magic or special abilities and hax instead of physical streingh. They act like these characters are damsels in distress and they just love to downplay them and hype up their favorites to make them look like they can kill a god, even though their favorites were never gods in the first place. They don't know that physical streingh and magic/hax are not the same and they affect differently. They can be physically strong but can still be affected by magic and hax, just like their trying to argue that a character with magic and hax can be injured easier from a physical impact. And than they claim that goku is high outerveral or omniversal/no boundaries.

What do you think about this kind of misogyny and underestimating issue.

I’ve noticed that the toxic power scaling debates from TikTok are starting to take over other parts of the fandom and versus discussions. It’s honestly making me feel pretty down. It feels like those kinds of people care more about their favorites destroying a character than just makeing a fair fight and a proper battle itself. Is anyone else feeling exhausted by this?"

Examples of what I have seen so far:

Death Battle Fanon wiki: Stella vs Blackout, Stormy vs Stormfront, Meloetta vs Musa, Roxy vs Repunzel.

Death Battle Fandom wiki: Zelda vs Bloom (comments).

Winx club vs Sailor Moon (one that said I think Winx club can eat up the Sailor scouts, sorry- not sorry)

Youtube Shorts: Goku vs Musa.

Youtube: Musa vs Ryuko (comments).

Deviantart: Meloetta vs Musa, Bloom vs Twilight Sparkle (comments), Musa vs Ember McClain (comments).

Reddit: Miraculous ladybug vs Bloom from April 6 2025 (comments) (and the one that said "They can turn into Tynix and go inside of Miraculous Ladybug and destroy her heart"), Winx club vs Smash Bros.

How are you dealing with this toxicity now, and are you not talking about this by just avoiding these debates entirely?
