Hi

This situation is driving me a it nuts. I have a member of my family who is asking me for help and I have a simplified view of networking, I know a little bit I’m eating out of my depth with this one.

Here’s how things are. They have a Bt smarthub 2. And now with digital voice bt are insisting you have to use their router. My family member wants to keep their number and digital voice. That’s for sure.

So they also want to isolate WiFi and have a guest WiFi network, but the garbage bt hub has no modem mode, no WiFi isolation, nothing. I’ve asked Ai chat apps but I’m getting my Triple conflicting answers on what I can do…

So I’m asking here. What are my options? A new router to replace the smart hub 2 isn’t an option, please don”t suggest that. Other than that I’m open to ideas?

I don’t know if this is a thing and I have researched it a little, but I’m not sure if the answers are what I’m asking? If that makes sense.

I’m trying to find out if actually finding security flaws in Linuc servers or Microsoft server is a thing? And if so, how did cult would it be to try and learn to attack?

I’m a beginner in this so please forgive me if I’ve asked a stupid question.
