Alternative to methylfolate or folinic acid for homocysteine levels

Homocysteine tested at 27 but folate and b12 normal. Doc told me to take methylfolate but 400mcg caused my stomach muscles or gut muscles to not work and thus results in severe constipation. I stopped it and then I felt better. After, I tried folinic acid 1mg or so, and the same problem came back. Not sure if I have the mutation but how else can I reduce homocysteine levels? The folate supplements make me feel great, and focused. Not anxiety, actually the opposite. But I cannot take this as it seems to be messing with my guy unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I hear TMG is helpful, or I can reduce the folinic acid but I just feel like my body is just adversely impacted by it. I take b12 as well, doesn’t make much a difference with it.
