advice needed
hey everyone. i’m a little worried if I might have done the wrong thing here (i’m a pretty recent grad, so I tend to overthink)
my patient came in with a draining fistula at the direct lingual of #25. palpation of the fistula drained out of the sulcus of 25. However, 25 looks completely normal on this PA.
25 tested negative to cold, though 24 and 26 had very weak (+) responses to cold. percussion symptoms on 25 were more significant than neighboring teeth, but still mild. I opted to open up 25, the tooth was necrotic but didn’t get any drainage through the tooth. now i’m worried I may have treated the wrong tooth. what would you guys have done/would you do now? I chose not to obturate today and make sure fistula resolves.
