Houston Credit Unions

Does anyone know any good Houston credit unions that work with first time buyers? I’m done with my cash car, the repairs are way too expensive now. Repairs have cost me over 10k this year. Credit is great for my age as well as my income.

First Time Car Buyer

Hello everyone I am a first time car buyer and I am looking for a credit union who can work with me. I am a college student near completion and I make really good money for my age, My credit is also above the standard for my age as well i’m sitting on a 728 with a 4 year credit history which could be better. Despite me making good money I don’t want to finance anything over $20k. I’ve dealt with a cash car for the longest and it’s a problem with it every other day and it’s cost me $10k in repairs this year alone. I’m honestly done with cash cars for now. If you have any recommendations for Credit Unions that work with first time buyers please let me know. Thank you!

Reality Check Cullen College of Engineering

I had plans on transferring into Cullen for CIVE but I’ve been humbled over the past 2 semesters. My GPA was above the recommended grade to pass admissions but I needed the recommended courses to be completed. So far I’ve had to retake Chem 1311, most likely going to have to retake PHYS2325, ENGI1331 AND Calc 2, I had hope up until this point now my GPA sits below the 3.25 minimum and with a potential 4 D’s on my transcript for the recommended classes I doubt I get in. Before this school I’ve taken some pretty difficult classes and passed with A’s but I’ve been humbled. Now i’m stuck because I wanted to become a Civil Engineer I have background knowledge and experience in the industry but that’s meaningless if i can’t pass the intro classes. Even with the holistic review if i do retake the classes and earn A’s I doubt they consider me. I won’t ever say never though but with my situation it’s pretty close. I’m not sure what my next steps are.
